The paper provides results of the study dedicated to estimation energy storage economical efficiency in traction system electric railways. offered will allow obtaining line technological and technical advantages: increasing degree recuperation use, which lead reduction consumed energy, obtained from external power system; minimizing risks, part failures supply infrastructure complex facilities; indicators; optimizing costs supply; equipping facilities with efficient means systems. Statement need products designed is provided. definition economic effect using developed on railway network JSC “Russian Railways” compensation period, project risk analysis have been given.
